So guess what? I did it! I actually graduated from college on May 6th, 2011. Go me!
Enough congratulating myself… now onto what’s been plaguing my mind since that day.
For some, I feel like this transition can be tricky in terms of ones own self-perception and mentality. Can I still justify my irresponsible behavior as an undergraduate (I’m still technically taking one class online)? Or is it time to really grow up and hold myself accountable? I’m thinking it’s a little bit of both…
It reminds me of Graduates (Check it out if you haven’t already), a pilot created by some wonderful friends I know out in LA. It just so happens to deal with this same issue… And therefore I relate to it more than I ever have in the past.
I know I’ll make it through this whole learning process as a better person, evermore prepared for the real world, but right now it’s a little daunting. Alas, ‘tis life.
